The partnership gives TaxAssist Accountants' franchisees, employees and clients across the UK access to a range of legal expertise, including services provided by Fosters' Wills, Trusts & Probate team.

The initial range of services includes support with Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, alongside access to other specialist legal services where required.

The relationship forms part of The TaxAssist Group's wider strategy to broaden the range of support and complementary services available through its network, helping accountants provide clients with access to trusted professional expertise beyond accountancy and tax.

Representatives from Fosters Solicitors were also due to attend the TaxAssist Accountants biennial conference at the International Convention Centre Wales, held from 16 to 18 May 2025, providing an opportunity to introduce the partnership and its services to members of the network.

Steve Green, Fosters’ Partner and Professional Deputy, said: “We are all thrilled to announce the news of this collaboration. We recognised the huge potential in a partnership with TaxAssist Accountants a couple of years ago and it’s been a pleasure to work with such a proactive and engaged team for the launch and to plan our future activity together.

“The conference in May is a terrific opportunity to showcase what we will be offering and we look forward to meeting many TaxAssist Accountants’ colleagues there.”

James Mattam, TaxAssist Group Director of Franchising, added: “We are delighted to launch this new partnership to our national network of accountants, as our clients will often turn to their accountant for business and personal advice, along with recommendations for other professional services. Fosters Solicitors have an excellent reputation and we will only put the best partners in place for our network to access as and when they need to.

“We already offer a range of complementary services, some of which are delivered by the TaxAssist Group, such as payroll, tax consulting and financial planning - and we wanted to make sure we were able to help clients with legal services they may need in their personal lives, but which are also connected to the running of their business. Fosters Solicitors complements that range of services to ensure we can offer more for our clients.”

The partnership complements the Group's existing portfolio of additional services, including Payroll by TaxAssist, Tax Consulting by TaxAssist and Financial Planning by TaxAssist, while extending the professional expertise available to the network.

By developing relationships with specialist providers, The TaxAssist Group continues to broaden the support available to its franchisees and help them meet a wider range of client needs through trusted professional partnerships.
