Karl joined the Group on 1 October 2025 in the newly created role, which carries responsibility for the management, integration and growth of the Group's owned practices.

Based at the TaxAssist Group's Norwich Support Centre, Karl will work closely with teams across the Group's acquired businesses as the organisation continues to develop this important area of its long-term strategy.

Karl brings extensive international and commercial experience to the role. He spent 20 years as a Partner at Deloitte, working in South Africa, Australia and Ukraine and advising privately owned businesses around the world.

Since relocating to the UK in 2017, Karl has held a number of senior leadership positions, including Director at Price Bailey, Managing Director at GMG Color and Finance Director at Canham Consulting.

Daren Moore, CEO of The TaxAssist Group, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Karl to the leadership team. His wealth of expertise will be instrumental in driving forward the ‘Group-owned practices’ pillar of our strategy. We see significant opportunities for growth in this area, and Karl’s role will be central to ensuring our acquired practices are integrated, effective and profitable.”

The development of Group-owned practices forms one of three central pillars of The TaxAssist Group's growth strategy, alongside continued investment in its franchise network and the development of complementary services for franchisees and clients.

The Group has already made significant progress in building its directly owned practice portfolio, including the acquisition of its largest network practice in 2024 and four further TaxAssist practice acquisitions in 2025.

As the Group continues to integrate these businesses, the directly owned practices provide opportunities to share innovation, develop best practice and test new approaches that can benefit the wider network.

The TaxAssist Group is actively exploring further acquisition opportunities as part of its plans to continue expanding its Group-owned practices in 2026 and beyond.

Daren added: “The potential for growth in this area is hugely exciting. With Karl’s leadership, we are confident our Group-owned practices will continue to flourish and add real value for the wider network.”

October 2025

With a detailed plan for the growth and evolution of the TaxAssist brand, plus the addition of new products and services, these are exciting times for the TaxAssist network.
