Enabling technology from the start within his business has been one of the key drivers in growth for Eamonn, an ACCA qualified Accountant. Speaking about his approach, Eamonn said: "I wanted to be able to offer my clients software that was really easy to use from their phones and something that would speed up the way we work together. Nobody wants to waste time submitting paper expenses and word invoices these days so as a matter of course, I offer all of my clients access to two tools accessible from the TaxAssist mobile app; Receipt Bank and Surf Accounts. This means they can send professional looking invoices at the click of a button and they can keep track of all of their purchases electronically – eliminating the need for paper".

As well as clients no longer having to worry about missing receipts, the adoption of technology like this means that Eamonn and his team's workflow has improved and they have more time to spend meeting with new and existing clients.

In order to stay one step ahead of the market, the TaxAssist Group recently entered into a number of strategic national partnerships with companies like Surf and Receipt Bank. Speaking about this, Michael Scanlan, Technical Manager at TaxAssist Accountants, said: "Manual processing will soon become a thing of the past particularly as the Revenue Commissioners push us online more and more. Our clients are looking for smarter ways to work on the go and our franchisees want to streamline their work processes. We provide full training on how to use the products and we have negotiated great rates for TaxAssist franchisees to access them due to our scale. As we prepare for the future, I would see them as being a critical component of our business model."

Since opening 3 years ago, Eamonn has grown at a good rate. Speaking about the development of his business, Eamonn said: "I now employ 4 staff and deal with over 300 clients. I enjoy working for myself and having tools like these at my disposal, means I can spend more time doing what I like best - talking to my clients about their businesses. There is a really vibrant atmosphere here in Bray and indeed across Wicklow and I am keen to keep building on my success and become an integral part of the local business community".
