The partnership forms part of The TaxAssist Group's wider approach to providing franchisees with access to specialist expertise, technology and commercial relationships that help them respond to changing client needs and developments within the accountancy sector.
To launch the relationship, TaxAssist franchisees will be invited to an exclusive webinar providing practical guidance on supporting clients with crypto-related tax requirements and identifying potential opportunities in this developing area of practice.
The session will explore how crypto assets are taxed in the UK, some of the challenges clients can face when reporting their activity and the increasing regulatory focus surrounding crypto taxation. Franchisees will also receive a demonstration of the Recap platform and information about exclusive partner discounts available through the relationship.
Recap enables users to track crypto assets, calculate gains and produce tax reports, helping accountants and their clients manage what can often be a complex area of tax reporting. Its subscription-based pricing model can also provide a solution for clients with historic reporting requirements.
Gary Clark, Head of Technical at TaxAssist Accountants, said: “Crypto is becoming an increasingly important area for our network, with more clients requiring clear, accurate reporting of their crypto activity. By partnering with Recap, we’re equipping our franchisees with a practical, secure solution that simplifies the process and helps them confidently support clients in this evolving space, while also creating new business opportunities.”
The partnership reflects The TaxAssist Group's continued investment in helping its network access the specialist tools and knowledge required to support clients as technology, regulation and financial services continue to evolve.
By working with specialist providers, the Group aims to give franchisees access to solutions that can complement their existing services, improve efficiency and enable them to respond confidently to new and emerging areas of client demand.
