The endorsement follows a detailed review of practice management solutions and reflects TaxAssist's commitment to providing its network with technology that improves efficiency, consistency and client experience. TaxAssist has worked with TaxCalc since 2018 and continues to mandate its compliance software across the network.

Engager was selected for its strong practice management capabilities and its growing integration with TaxCalc, creating greater connectivity between firms' compliance work, client data and day-to-day operations. The collaboration also supports TaxAssist's wider technology strategy and focus on helping franchisees run modern, efficient practices.

Katie Hawking, TaxAssist Director of Group Operations, said: "We're committed to providing our network with technology that helps them deliver an outstanding service while operating efficient, scalable practices. Engager stood out because of its strong practice management functionality and the clear strategic direction of its integration with TaxCalc.

"We look for partners who share our ambitions around efficiency, compliance and client experience. Having worked successfully with TaxCalc for many years, we're pleased to strengthen that relationship by endorsing Engager as a recommended solution for our network."

Practice management plays a central role in the effective operation of an accountancy firm, providing oversight of workloads, deadlines, client communications and resource planning. As Engager becomes increasingly integrated with TaxCalc, TaxAssist believes franchisees will be able to streamline administrative processes and reduce duplication of effort.

Jo Nockels, Head of Practice Development at TaxAssist Accountants, said: "After compliance software, practice management is one of the most important technology investments an accountancy firm can make. It underpins efficiency, visibility, consistency and ultimately the experience delivered to clients.

"What particularly appealed to us was the potential of bringing practice management closer to tax and accounts compliance. As the integration between Engager and TaxCalc continues to evolve, firms will benefit from more connected workflows, better access to information and greater opportunities for automation."

The TaxAssist network will also benefit from a tailored implementation approach developed in collaboration with TaxCalc. This includes pre-configured workflows, templates and processes designed to support a consistent and efficient adoption of the software.

Millie Thompson, Key Account Director at TaxCalc, who is leading on the partnership, said: “Engager was created and designed by accountants, for accountants. Now, the integration with TaxCalc means firms can manage everything in one place, with tax and compliance data flowing through, rather than being copied or rekeyed between systems.

“We know switching systems can feel like a big step, so a huge part of our focus is on making that transition as straightforward as possible. We have a dedicated team at TaxCalc to support TaxAssist and we’ll be helping to provide structured training, regular webinars and hands-on support for TaxAssist firms/franchisees.”

Engager will also feature within TaxAssist training and support programmes, giving practices access to implementation guidance, onboarding resources and ongoing support, alongside preferential commercial arrangements.

As one of the UK's largest accountancy networks, TaxAssist continues to invest in technology and strategic partnerships that helps it accountants to deliver high-quality services while providing an excellent experience for clients.
