The new additions joined the network through a variety of routes, reflecting the flexibility of the TaxAssist franchise model. Four accountants began their journey into practice ownership by starting new businesses, while six purchased established TaxAssist Accountants practices.
Three existing practice owners converted their businesses to TaxAssist Accountants, while a further three people joined the network as partners in existing practices.
James Mattam, Group Director of Franchising, said: “It has been a pleasure to welcome so many new accountants to our network of over 230 franchisees this year. The Support Centre teams are excited to support them in building and growing substantial practices.”
To meet growing demand from accountants looking to join the network, TaxAssist expanded its initial training programme during 2025 and planned to run four courses in 2026, beginning in March.
James added, “We encourage anyone interested in joining our network to get in touch early to allow for plenty of time to prepare.”
The new franchisees joined during a significant year for TaxAssist Accountants, which celebrated 30 years of franchising in 2025.
During the year, the network achieved 5-Star Franchisee Satisfaction for the 13th consecutive year and was named Best Franchise Business to Business at the 2025 Best Franchise Awards. TaxAssist Accountants was also ranked 12th in the Elite Franchise Top 100 for 2026.
The network also recorded strong client feedback during the year, with 94% of clients surveyed stating that they would recommend TaxAssist Accountants to a friend or colleague.
Alongside network growth, The TaxAssist Group continued to invest in the development and support of its franchisees throughout 2025. Activity across the network included conferences, regional meetings, training programmes, mentoring, webinars and a nationwide series of Making Tax Digital roadshows.
The Group also introduced Resourcing by TaxAssist, a new staffing solution designed to help franchisees address recruitment challenges and support the efficient growth of their businesses.

The arrival of 16 new franchisees and partners represented another positive year for the TaxAssist Accountants network, while the wider Group continued to invest in the people, services and infrastructure needed to support its future development.
