TaxAssist franchisee Liz Tapley and her team are celebrating a successful start to the year after seeing a 21% increase in business.
The Poole based business has provided tax and accountancy advice and services to small businesses in the local area for more than nine years and has reported a 21% year-on-year increase in the number of local businesses coming to them for help filing their January tax returns.
This January saw the biggest increase yet of people opting to file online, rather than on paper, with 89 per cent (9.24million) using HMRC’s online service.
Liz comments; “Small businesses face ever-increasing financial and administration challenges, which add to a tough, competitive market place. Since starting out on Wallisdown Road more than nine years ago, we’ve developed a reputation locally for our jargon-free advice and the support we give small businesses and start-ups, which helps free up their time to do what they do best – run their businesses. Our business, now based on Ashley Road, grows through word of mouth recommendations and it’s great to see such a significant increase in referrals.”
