The new shop, which is excellently located on a roadway through the centre of Rugby, has already been inundated with walk-ins and calls from a range of clients since it opened a few weeks ago.

“I’m thrilled with the response to the shop,” said Mike, who has over 30 years’ experience as an accountant. “My expectations have been met and then some, and I’m hopeful the shop will be the hub for my ambitious expansion plans which includes purchasing additional accountancy practices and increasing the geographical territory I operate in.”

Mike joined the TaxAssist Accountants network in April 2022, after purchasing the established Rugby franchise from previous franchisee John Barr, who still works in the business part-time.

“The support and advice I’ve received from the TaxAssist Support Centre has been fantastic and following their model has enabled me to hit the ground running.

“I’m really proud of the team I’ve built up, and clients have access to a full range of services, including self-assessment tax returns, year-end accounts, payroll and bookkeeping, as well as research and development tax credits, employment law specialists, advice for starting and growing a business, assistance with business planning and cash flow management.

“In addition, TaxAssist Financial Services, can help clients protect their business and loved ones, maximise their return on pensions and investments and plan for the future, all in a tax efficient manner.

“Anyone interested in finding out more about our services should contact us for a free initial consultation. Give us a call on 01788 574440 or visit our website.”
