Mandy Sigaloff, Managing Director of TaxAssist Accountants has appointed two new technical staff members to the role of Technical Training and Support Managers.

Ruheena Riyaz (pictured) is a CPA and a registered tax agent, who has been working in practice for over 10 years, where she has worked in a business advisory role as well as taxation. She has been a senior accountant for 2 different firms managing and supervising junior staff and more recently a tax reviewer for etax. Ruheena is experienced in using XERO, XPM, BGL as well as numerous other accounting software packages.

Alex Melen has been working as a practising accountant since 1984 after gaining a Bachelor of Business (accounting) and Master of Taxation from Sydney University. Alex worked as a Graduate Accountant before joining PWC as a Tax Consultant for international Expatriates. Alex then went onto work as a Financial Dealer at Deutsche Bank before setting up his own practice in 1993.

Mandy said, “Ruheena and Alex are brilliant additions to the Support Centre Team, bringing a wealth of technical, practice and software knowledge and experience, but also friendly, approachable and can-do attitudes which will be hugely beneficial to the TaxAssist Accountants network. 

“They will both play a key part in assisting and supervising our franchisees and their staff in the day-to-day operation of their practices by providing a technical and software helpdesk to ensure we maintain high standards of accounting practice and compliance for our clients at all times. They will also prepare and provide technical training and updates on our new training hub.”
