Nic brings extensive financial, commercial and strategic experience to the Group, having built his career supporting fast-growing businesses across the financial services and digital sectors.
Group Chief Executive Officer, Daren Moore FCCA, said: “We were keen to develop our Group Board to provide more capacity and Nic’s expertise will be a great addition to the existing team supporting The TaxAssist Group’s next phase of growth.
“With an ambitious five-year strategic plan, which we believe will lead to an Initial Public Offering (IPO), Nic will help to ensure The Group’s plans move forward and build on its successes in a rapidly evolving landscape.”
Nic trained with Ernst & Young before moving into industry, where he developed extensive experience working with high-growth businesses.
Following four years with Virgin Money, he spent 12 years at Optimise Media Group, helping to grow the business from £2 million to £60 million in revenue and supporting its expansion into six international markets.
He subsequently took on a fractional CFO role, working with a number of high-growth businesses as an executive director to develop and deliver strategic plans on behalf of shareholders. His experience included supporting the growth and eventual sale of Notice Media Ltd to NerdWallet Inc., before contributing to the post-acquisition strategy for NerdWallet UK.
Nic said: “I am excited to be joining The TaxAssist Board, helping to expand the range of services and footprint of the network, whilst supporting existing franchisees to grow.
“The TaxAssist brand is highly successful, well-known and respected and has ambitious goals and growth plans for the future. I’m looking forward to making an impact by providing financial, strategic and commercial advice to support the Group with its aspirations for the business.”
Nic is one of four TaxAssist Group Directors working alongside Daren Moore, Non-Executive Director Phil Sullivan and Non-Executive Chairman Dorian Gonsalves.
