Mandy Sigaloff, The TaxAssist Managing Director, said: “Grace has successfully completed the TaxAssist Academy program this week, where she learnt the skills required to undertake individual, partnership, company and Trust tax returns and lodgments. She is Xero certified, payroll certified and has completed her practice management training on Xero XPM. Congratulations Grace!

“Currently working as a corporate accountant in Sydney, Grace started her journey to owning and running her own practice when she joined the TaxAssist 12-month Academy program in May 2023. She signed her TaxAssist Contractor contract this week and will undertake work for the company owned TaxAssist Accountants practice whilst still remaining in full-time employment.

“Grace will be completing work for her own clients and TaxAssist allocated clients, enabling her to build her confidence and experience before transitioning her career into running her own TaxAssist practice. Further training and supervision will be provided, and Grace will occasionally be working out of our Neutral Bay TaxAssist Accountants office.”

If you are ready to start your journey to becoming your own boss, working towards your Tax Agent Licence and owning your own accounting practice, please get in touch and enquire about the TaxAssist Academy program.

Once the Academy training has been successfully completed, you have the opportunity to work as a contractor for TaxAssist, building your own client base and practicing your skills as a Tax Agent (under supervision if you do not have a Tax Licence) There is no requirement from TaxAssist Accountants to resign from your current employment whilst on the Academy program. At the end of the 12-month program you will have the option to join TaxAssist Accountants as a franchisee.

Follow Grace’s example and start your journey to owning your own accounting practice.

September 2023
