Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, this year’s TaxAssist Accountants Summer Conference was held virtually. The network enjoyed presentations by Managing Director Alison McGinley, Technical Manager Mike Scanlan and Marketing Manager Niamh Gavin, to inform and inspire them for the year ahead.

The conference focused on the future, and a number of new marketing campaigns were announced to attract new clients and those looking to switch to a more proactive accountant, as well as training and discussions around Brexit and VAT.

Speaking about the conference, Alison said: “Even though the event was held virtually this year, it worked very well and still enabled franchisees to talk things through with their peers, plan for the year ahead and to take hints and tips on things that are working well in other offices back to their own for implementation.

“We were excited to present a new series of centralised marketing campaigns, which will run in print, online and via digital audio, with the message that TaxAssist is here to help clients to thrive in a post-pandemic world.

“Going forward, we know there is a lot of pent-up demand to get out and spend, which is good news for existing small businesses and is likely to lead to more start-ups. We also know there are likely to be more Government schemes, with clients expecting more support from their accountant, hence why we are targeting the switchers market.”

TaxAssist Accountants has 19 franchisees in Ireland, operating from 23 shops and offices, servicing more than 5,600 clients.

Alison said: “The events of the last year have emphasised just how beneficial and effective being a part of a franchise network can be, for both our accountants and their clients, in terms of branding, communication, support, back-up and guidance.

“We still have prime territories available and I’d encourage anyone interested in finding out more about joining TaxAssist Accountants to give me a call on 1800 987609, or complete the enquiry form here.”
