Paul, a qualified accountant, took over the business on Bartholomew Street in Newbury on 1st December, to look after the specialist small business needs of the local community. After working in various financial roles within the IT sector, Paul decided to take the next steps of running his own company.
Paul commented: “I’ve always been interested in entrepreneurship but never felt it was the right time to have my own business until now. The accessible shop based format and client base Richard has built up is a great starting point for me and the business. I’m confident we will continue to meet the developing needs of the small business community and I’m really looking forward to meeting current and new clients in and around the West Berkshire area.”
Paul, who will be working alongside the current team, is currently recruiting for a part time tax manager and intends to add an office junior to the team in due course.
He added: “I have big plans for TaxAssist Accountants in Newbury – I’m planning to recruit and later in the year, I’ll be hosting a launch event for the small business community to showcase what we offer.”
