Mandy Sigaloff, Managing Director of TaxAssist Accountants in Australia, has recently taken on two new staff members, Noel Luther (Training & Technical Manager) and Ceri Andrew (Operations Manager) to bolster support to the franchise network.

“Noel and Ceri are fantastic additions to the Support Team as they bring with them a wealth of accounting experience and knowledge from both practice and industry” said Mandy. “They will both play a vital role in assisting our franchisees in the day-to-day operation of their practices and will provide a technical helpdesk and training, to ensure we maintain high standards of accounting practice for our clients at all times.” 

CIMA qualified Noel Luther, has over 30 years’ experience in the accounting industry. This includes working in commerce in various roles in Sri Lanka, Singapore, Maldives and Saudi Arabia, mostly as head of Finance and IT in large conglomerates and Multinationals. 

After emigrating to Australia, Noel worked for 18 years in public practice as a management, finance & tax consultant, advising his clients on tax strategy and providing strategic financial management. His clients came from such varied industries as health services, hospitality, transport, agribusiness, mining, manufacturing and heavy engineering. He obtained membership to CPA Australia in 2009. Noel has also served as a consultant and advisor on a voluntary basis for many development projects undertaken by the Government of Sri Lanka, including the implementation of GST.

Noel’s role at TaxAssist Accountants is to support franchisees and their staff with regards to operations, technical and software advice and compliance. He also prepares and provides technical training and updates.

Ceri Andrews ICAEW, qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young in the UK, before moving into industry and subsequently setting up and working in her own businesses.  She moved to Australia in 2012.

Ceri’s role is to support both Noel and Mandy, and she will play a central role in providing best practice guidance to franchisees.
