What initially attracted you to the TaxAssist Academy? 

What attracted me initially to the Academy Program is the comprehensive training and professional development program alongside the proven and successful franchise model. Enrolment in this program, offers me the chance to enhance my practical skills, complete training, and transition my career into public practice with the guidance of experienced tax professionals. In addition, the structured self-learn program, with access to over 500 video tutorials, provides flexibility and thorough learning. Moreover, TaxAssist Accountants is a globally recognized and award-winning franchise with over 450 offices worldwide, providing a proven blueprint for building a successful accounting business.

How much of the training course was new to you?

Generally speaking, about 30% is new to me in terms of the SMSF BGL software and Xero tax that I haven't used before. 

What did you find most beneficial, or did you enjoy most?

I think the PTA training and practical experience gained throughout the program is invaluable. It is useful because it allows me to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world situations, enhancing my skills and builds up my confidence in the field.

How has the support been helpful when doing client work? 

The support team has been very helpful in approaching my queries or issues whether they are technical or theoretical, which allows me to provide high-quality service to my clients and enhance my knowledge base and skill set.

What are your plans for the future after completing the Academy program? 

I am thinking of embarking on the journal of starting my own franchise business after completing the TaxAssist Academy program. It will require careful planning and execution but I’m keen to leverage the knowledge and skills gained from the TaxAssist Academy. Along with a strategic approach to business development, I believe I can position myself for success in the competitive field of tax consultancy.
