When Badi Ceren and Michael Harrison joined TaxAssist Accountants back in May 2019, they set themselves ambitious growth targets for their practice. Over the last two years they have continued to grow at a pace which has exceeded their expectations, despite the ongoing economic conditions and lockdowns caused by the pandemic.

Knowing that the strength on the franchise model, brand and support structures would help them to achieve their goals, they opened their TaxAssist shop in Collingwood, Melbourne and have been attracting clients at an impressive rate ever since.

“Michael and I have been very pleased with how the shop acts as a showcase for our wide range of services and really draws clients in,” comments Badi.

“The last year has been a very tricky time for many businesses, but it’s been very rewarding to offer our expertise to help and guide clients through the support schemes available and we have received a number of referrals on the back of this. Considering the length of time we have been in lockdown, we also continue to sign up new businesses from our shop front, as well as established businesses who need the services of a more proactive accountant.

“Back in 2019 who could have foreseen where we are now, but I’m pleased to say that we’ve maintained a good service level for our clients, with the help of the TaxAssist Support Centre and we’ve become a hub for small businesses in the community.

“We’re certainly pleased with how the practice is growing and may look to open more shops in the near future.”
